About You:
To be successful as a Technical System Analyst, the ideal candidate will have

Your Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:
You will also need to have the following knowledge, experience and qualifications
- Educated to level 5 of the National Qualification Framework for England, Wales and Northern Ireland or equivalent experience.
- Educated to level 6 of the National Qualification Framework for England, Wales and Northern Ireland
- Qualification in ITIL or working towards one.
- A good understanding of SQL.
- A good understanding of database structures and SaaS
- A good understanding of API’s
- Knowledge of the social housing sector in Wales.
- Good understanding of Microsoft products including Office 365.
- Experience within a similar role.
- Significant Experience of developing / improving NEC Housing Management system or similar housing management systems
- Understanding of API architecture including the ability to interpret technical documentation and understand integration requirements
- Significant Experience of developing / improving SaaS Scheduling Tools
- Significant Experience of supporting/maintaining a SaaS mobile solution
- Experience of CRM systems
- Experience of reviewing / improving business processes
What you’ll be doing:
The purpose of the role is to support, maintain and develop Tai Calon’s software applications. This will predominantly involve support and development of the NEC Housing Management System and the Repairs Scheduling Application.
As a Technical System Analyst, you’ll take ownership in
- Ensure the current Housing Management System (NEC Northgate) is available to the business and is fit for purpose. Perform maintenance and scheduled tasks to ensure smooth operation and resolve incidents quickly.
- Ensuring all integrations across Tai Calon software is maintained and working correctly including integrations for the repairs systems integrations between Northgate and the repairs scheduling system
- Implement new software, enhancements to existing software or integration between systems in line with the business requirements.
- Act as 2nd/3rd line support for service desk tickets raised by users. Supporting the Associate Information Systems Analyst to resolve them quickly.
- Ensure that the Housing Management System (NEC Northgate) covering core functions such as rents, repairs and void management is maintained and operating correctly.
- Ensure that the repairs scheduling and planning system (Resource Scheduler) is maintained and operating correctly.
- Maintaining system databases, utilising database technologies to ensure databases are running efficiently and database backup and recovery is in place.
- Managing the administration of non-housing management systems
- Manage our API ecosystem, & 3rd party integrations to include functional oversight of these connections and troubleshooting. Liaising with software vendors when amendments fixes are required
- Manage the upgrading of the NEC Housing Management System and other related systems across the business as and when required.
- Deal with user support calls as 2nd/3rd line support and escalate relevant calls to software suppliers service desks to ensure they are managed and concluded with a satisfactory solution.
- Maintain high-quality documentation on developments, enhancements and changes
- Implement new software, enhancements to existing software or integration between systems in line with the business requirements. This will predominantly be for the NEC Housing and DRS applications but may include others.
- Carrying out cyclical maintenance/year end tasks in NEC and any other additional software where required
- Lead on the technical implementation of new Housing Management System modules and other software procured across the business. Ensuring user understanding, correct configuration and ongoing support.
- Liaise with and direct external consultants and contractors when on site or working remotely.
- Participate in improvement projects through scoping, user groups, feasibility studies, business case development, system process mapping and project management.
- Act as 2nd/3rd line support for service desk tickets raised by users. Supporting the Associate Information Systems Analyst to resolve tickets quickly and effectively.
- Produce high-quality documentation on resolution actions that can be used to resolve similar queries at first line.
- Produce ad hoc management information reports as required.

Working Pattern:
As an Technical System Analyst, you will work 37 hours per week.
Your working pattern will be Monday to Friday (9:00 am to 5:00 pm), however, you'll be eligible for our Flexi Time scheme.
