Tai Calon was established in 2010 as a not-for-profit housing association, with almost 6,000 homes we are the largest provider of affordable homes in Blaenau Gwent. With more than 280 people trained and dedicated to their jobs, we’re a big employer in the area. Due to growth within our Assets, Sustainability and Healthy Homes team, we’re looking for a Health and Energy Data Officer to join us.

 

About You:

Your Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:

You will also need to have the following knowledge, experience and qualifications

  • Educated to Level 3 of the National Qualification Framework for England, Wales and Northern Ireland
  • In-depth knowledge of relational database methodologies
  • Knowledge of performance management systems
  • Experience of similar roles dealing with data analysis and report production
  • Experience of database management and using analytical techniques for effective modelling and generation of data and management information
  • Knowledge of RdSAP is desirable, but not essential.

 

What you’ll be doing:

As a Health and Energy Data Officer, you will be at the heart of using data to drive positive change for our residents. Working closely with colleagues and external stakeholders, you’ll help guide investments that deliver the greatest benefits to our communities and Tai Calon.

You’ll do this by ensuring the systems we implement are fit for purpose and provide the data needed to help customers live healthy lives, in energy-efficient homes.

By monitoring environmental and energy data, you’ll identify emerging trends and collaborate with colleagues to address any concerns, ensuring that Tai Calon continues to have a positive impact on our residents’ lives. For a more detailed overview of what you will be doing, our Health and Energy Data Officer will take ownership of

  • Maintaining and enhancing the environmental data collected from ‘connected homes’ and ensuring that opportunities to install new and better systems are pursued.
  • Ensuring the preparation of Assets, Health, and Energy data and reports, effectively maximising the use of our IT systems and data to produce information readily and accurately.
  • Analysing environmental monitoring data outputs to inform our planned investment programmes and targeting current or emerging Energy and Health issues.
  • Working closely with environmental monitoring system providers (such as SERO and AICO) to ensure the technology we specify and install provides the information and data we require.
  • Working collaboratively across Tai Calon, with customers and with external stakeholders to ensure effective working relationships are developed and maintained.
  • Collaborating with energy software providers and utilising Reduced Data Standard Assessment Procedure (RdSAP) data within energy evaluation tools, to create targeted energy pathways that comply with Welsh Housing Quality Standard (WHQS) requirements.

Permanent

 

Working Pattern:

You will work 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday.

You will also be eligible for our Flexi Time scheme, with most colleagues working their hours between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.

This role offers Hybrid Working, where you’ll be able to work from home. For the days that you're in the office, we've got a bright, open and modern space for you to catch up with colleagues and work from.
