Tai Calon was established in 2010 as a not-for-profit housing association, with almost 6,000 homes we are the largest provider of affordable homes in Blaenau Gwent. Your Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:

You will also need to have the following knowledge, experience and qualifications

  • Educated to Level 3 on the National Qualification Framework for England, Wales and Northern Ireland
     
  • Knowledge of Open Accounts financial system (or similar).
     
  • Experience in accurate recording of financial transactions/bank reconciliation.
     
  • Experience within a similar role of similar responsibilities.
     
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel & PowerPoint.


What you’ll be doing:

We are looking for someone to join our dynamic Finance team with great people skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service, which you will use when working closely with colleagues and teams across Tai Calon to provide support, guidance and training.

As our Finance Support Partner, you will work in partnership with the Senior Finance Business Partner and Management Accountants to prepare accurate, timely monthly revenue and capital management accounts.

You will also monitor the integrity of our financial ledgers to ensure the correct allocation of transactions, maintain a variety of reconciliations, and the preparation of annual service charges in line with financial regulations.

Want to know more about what you’ll be doing as our Finance Support Partner? You will also take ownership of;

  • Assisting in the production of monthly management accounts.
     
  • Supporting the preparation and delivery of real-time financial data and cost accounting information.
     
  • Supporting the Treasury Function.
     
  • Accurately recording and timely banking of non-rent cash/cheque receipts and allocation of these receipts to relevant accounts.
     
  • Being responsible for analysing and processing monthly utility bills.
     
  • Being responsible for the monthly reconciliation of Company Credit Card accounts.
     
  • Being responsible for the reconciliation and control of all bank accounts, petty cash impress and processing journals as appropriate.
     
  • Managing, analysing and calculating annual service charges for Sheltered Schemes.
     
  • Managing, analysing and calculating rechargeable Section 20 works to Leaseholders.
     
  • Reviewing and maintaining the Purchase Ordering System licensing.
     
  • Providing support and training to colleagues on the Procure to Pay system.
     
  • Carrying out ad hoc projects as required.

Working Pattern:

As a Finance Support Partner, you will work 37 hours per week.

Your working pattern will be Monday to Friday (9:00 am to 5:00 pm), however, you'll be eligible for our Flexi Time scheme.

 

Where You'll Be Working:

This role offers Hybrid Working, where you’ll be able to work from home.

For the days that you're in the office, we've got a bright, open and modern space for you to catch up with colleagues and work from.
