Tai Calon was established in 2010 as a not-for-profit organisation, and with almost 6000 homes, we’re the largest provider of homes in Blaenau Gwent. We’re dedicated to ensuring that every resident has a nice and safe place to live, and we’ve spent over £130 million to ensure our homes meet the Welsh Housing Quality Standards.

With more than 280 people trained and dedicated to their job, we’re a big employer in the area, and we’re looking for a Head of Assets and Sustainability to join our team on a Permanent basis.

 

About The Role:

Are you passionate about driving lasting change in sustainability and asset management? As our Head of Assets and Sustainability, you'll spearhead our initiatives aimed at fostering a more sustainable and responsible future.

We're looking for someone to join our team who has the ability to lead transformational change within communities, sparking inspiration beyond providing affordable housing in Blaenau Gwent.

As our Head of Assets and Sustainability, you’ll have a strategic vision for our sustainable housing initiatives and take a multifaceted approach to our planned programmes of work and investment programmes. You’ll also need to maintain exceptional customer focus and deliver consistent, high-quality services.

As part of our Leadership Team, you’ll need to be confident in handling challenging conversations and be able to adapt your style to partner with a range of colleagues and key stakeholders. You’ll do this through leading by example, embodying our CALON values, and offering a supportive and coaching approach to promote a culture of positive behaviours.

Meet the Team:

As our Head of Assets and Sustainability, you'll be part of our Leadership Team which will be made up of nine Heads of Service across Tai Calon.

Contract Type:

Permanent

 

Working Pattern:

As our Head of Assets and Sustainability, you will work 37 hours per week.

Your working pattern will be Monday to Friday (9:00 am to 5:00 pm), however, you'll be eligible for our Flexi Time scheme.

 

Where You'll Be Working:

This role offers Hybrid Working and for the days that you're in the office, we've got a bright, open and modern space for you to catch up with colleagues and work from.
